Learning to not read like Robots

I'm pretty sure that I've mentioned in past posts how much I adore my fifth grade class. I taught them last year, etc, etc. I've notice that over the past six months, they have developed a nasty habit of reading like robots. Seriously. NO expression whatsoever. So to encourage them to read with expression I threatened them with my camera cum video recorder. And it seemed to do the trick.

Frank is the one reading. He's a great student and is well liked by his peers. To his right is Daniel, and to his left is sweet, gentle Luke. Notice Luke working the camera.
